Stratford Town Trust Grant
In November we received a very generous grant from Stratford Town Trust, which we are most grateful for and which gives us greater financial security to continue providing the valuable Time Out service into the future
Congratulations Charlie!
We are delighted to report that Charlie, our Group Leader up until September, was safely delivered of a little girl, Rosie Margaret on 26th October - a sister for Henry - and both mother and baby are doing fine. Congratulations to Charlie and family!
The Misses Barrie Charitable Trust
A big thank you to The Misses Barrie Charitable Trust who have once again made a substantial donation to Time Out this year. This is hugely appreciated and makes a very helpful contribution to our funds, and hence our sustainability for the next year and more
Stratford’s Big 10k – 4 September 2022
We once again provided marshals for the big 10k race around Stratford this year.
Once again, the weather was kind and as always the event was enormous fun.
Congratulations to all the runners who took part, and thank you to the organisers, Tempo Events, and the many participants who donated to Time Out and made the event such a great success.
WPH Charitable Trust
In August we received a very generous donation of £2,500 from the WPH Charitable Trust, a health charity based in Leamington. This is the second time WPH have kindly supported us, and we are immensely grateful for their support
A Big Thank You to all our regular donors
We are very fortunate to have many kind individuals – both parents and former parents, other relatives and members of the public – who generously donate to Time Out through Standing Orders or via our website on a monthly or quarterly basis. We continue to be hugely grateful to all of you; without your support, we simply couldn’t continue to run the service. THANK YOU!
Staff changes
Last Saturday, 26 August, we said goodbye to Charlie Careless, who has been our wonderful Group Leader for the last five challenging but highly successful years. Charlie is expecting her second child, due in October, and we wish her and her growing family all the very best. Charlie will stay on our bank staff list and hopefully we will see her back on an occasional basis in the future.
We are very fortunate to have found a worthy successor to Charlie in Lynn Hill. Lynn was for many years a Director of Children’s Services in Harbury, Warwickshire and (among other things) currently sits on the management committee for the Shakespeare Marathon on behalf of Stratford Rotary Club.
Lynn has the broad range of experience needed both as practitioner, administrator and manager and has already begun to make a positive impact since she started with Time Out in June.
Tree of Life 2021
Time Out was again named as the beneficiary of the Tree of Life by Shipston Rotary Club in December 2021. Thank you to everyone who supported this, £621 was raised!
January 2021 - Covid Update
We have been keeping a close eye on the advice being given by the government and alongside other local groups we have made the difficult decision to close Time Out Group with immediate effect. We will be reviewing this on the 1st March 2021 and hope that once again we will be able to open safely soon.
Please take a look at the wonderful activities we have managed to do safely through 2020.
Please do get in touch if there is anything we may be able to help with during this difficult time.
We would like to let our supporters know that we greatly appreciate their continued support as we continue to pay our fantastic permanent staff, and that we remain keen to reopen the service in due course, as soon as the present crisis is over and it is considered safe to continue.
Your support is hugely valued.
Compton Verney
Since reopening our group in August 2020, we have discovered quite possibly our new favourite place to visit. A short bus ride away from our new home, is Compton Verney. There is so much to see, and on our last visit we had the joy of discovering all the Woodland Animals made out of willow branches. Compton Verney have been so accommodating to our group, and have even offered us free entry to the grounds which is ever so kind of them. We will definitely be returning and we cannot wait to explore the grounds again soon!
